Vorbeck O3 Firefighting Foam

Depthink Productions partnered with Vorbeck Materials to produce a high-impact product commercial showcasing the performance of Vorbeck O3™, the company’s next-generation PFAS-free firefighting foam. Filmed at the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center, the production was designed to capture the foam’s real-world effectiveness against fuel-based fire scenarios while delivering cinematic visuals suitable for marketing, sales, and product launch campaigns.

The commercial was produced during a single-day field shoot that included multiple live-fire demonstrations. Two vehicles were intentionally ignited to document the deployment of Vorbeck O3™ in realistic firefighting conditions, allowing the production team to capture the foam’s rapid knockdown and suppression capabilities. Additional footage was captured during a controlled barrel burn, providing close-up visuals of the foam blanketing and enveloping a fuel fire. These demonstrations highlighted the product’s ability to create a stable foam layer designed to suppress vapors and help prevent re-ignition. Vorbeck O3™ is a fluorine-free firefighting foam concentrate developed for Class B liquid fuel fires and engineered as an alternative to legacy PFAS-containing foams.

To maximize production value, Depthink Productions utilized a multi-camera approach that combined ground-level cinematography, telephoto coverage, action-oriented handheld footage, and aerial drone video. The production team consisted of Director of Photography and Director Taylor Hellhake, a dedicated camera operator, a photographer, and a licensed drone pilot. This combination allowed the crew to document the fire demonstrations from multiple perspectives while maintaining safe operating distances and capturing the scale of the training environment.

The finished commercial blends cinematic storytelling with technical product demonstration, creating a compelling visual asset that communicates both performance and innovation. Through dynamic camera movement, aerial imagery, slow-motion fire sequences, and detailed close-up coverage of the foam application process, the video provides an engaging look at Vorbeck O3™ in action.
