Book Commercial – Asia Suler

This book commercial for Asia Suler’s book Mirrors in the Earth was filmed over one production day in Asheville, NC, where the team ventured into several remote locations in the surrounding mountains. We worked closely with Asia Suler, author and owner of One Willow Apothecaries, to capture a range of captivating B-roll footage. The goal was to create a rich visual narrative that would complement Asia’s script, weaving in images that reflect her work and the connection to nature that she embodies.

Given that we were accessing somewhat remote areas within the wilderness, we utilized portable battery-powered lighting, compact camera equipment, and support gear to keep us nimble. The aim was to capture beautiful, intimate shots of Asia in various environments—whether it was walking through the forests, exploring mountain streams, or sitting amidst the trees. These images were intended to evoke a sense of grounding, harmony, and connection with the earth, reflecting the core themes of Asia’s work and her deep reverence for nature.

Asia Suler is a multifaceted writer, teacher, earth intuitive, and ecological philosopher based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.
