Corporate Documentary

Background

Rajant Corporation manufactures rugged Wi-Fi radios that are used in industrial applications such as mining, ports, transportation, and IIot applications. It is the only radio manufacturer supporting M2M communications. Rajant Kinetic Mesh, the leading industrial wireless mesh network, is fully mobile and intelligently adapts to change—instantly and without outside intervention—to keep mission-critical operations moving.

Depthink Productions partnered with Rajant in 2005, working alongside their internal marking team, to produce and create a wide variety of video content. This includes case study/ in-the-field corporate documentary videos, technology and product videos, event commercials and coverage at their yearly summit, HR and recruiting videos, training videos, and so much more.

Video Production

This corporate documentry was shot on location at the site of a collapsed underground mine in rural Tennessee. The video was shot over 1 production day and consists of interviews with several mine employees as well as members of Rajant’s team and Australian Droid and Robot’s team. Much of the area was closed due to safety reasons, so a drone was deployed for aerial footage and b-roll of the robots was also collected in a safer location outside of the collapsed mine.

Taylor Hellhake (DP, Drone Operator, Gaffer, Sound Operator, Editor) worked alongside Rajant’s sales team to connect with their partner Austrailian Droid and Robot and the mine that they deployed their technology in, to tell the story of the mine collapse and how this equipment helped survey for damage and re-open the mine.
